About mochibear
mochibear is a deal aggregation site built on a simple principle: help people find genuinely good deals, and never let money compromise that mission.
Our Philosophy
We take inspiration from companies like Valve (Steam) — customer satisfaction is the priority. If a deal is good, we list it whether we make money from it or not. Our ranking algorithm is completely blind to affiliate status. A deal that earns us nothing is ranked identically to one that earns us a commission, given the same discount, trust, and rating.
How Deals Are Ranked
Every deal on mochibear gets a quality score based on three factors:
- 40%Discount quality — How significant is the price drop? A 50% discount on a popular product scores higher than a 10% discount.
- 30%Trustworthiness — Is the retailer reliable? Does the product have good reviews? Are there suspicious signs (like 99% discounts)?
- 30%Product rating — What do actual buyers think? We weigh both the rating score and the number of reviews.
How We Make Money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. This is the same price you'd pay if you found the product yourself.
Importantly, many deals on this site have no affiliate link at all. We include them because they're good deals, period. We'd rather show you the best deal than only the deals that pay us.
Regional Deals
mochibear automatically detects your location and shows you deals available in your region. If you're in Japan, you'll see deals from Amazon Japan and Rakuten — in yen. If you're in the UK, you'll see Amazon UK and Currys — in pounds. You can always switch your region manually using the selector in the header.
